It began on November 11th, 2024. While working at home, I was suddenly struck by an almighty headache—a pulsating, uncontrollable pain that I can only describe as 100% intensity—leading to collapse. I feel profoundly lucky to have survived this ordeal, a fact I owe entirely to my fiancée being home when it happened. I think the world of her and thank her for being here to support me every day. Despite the initial delay in emergency services, her quick actions in calling 999 ensured help eventually arrived. This led to the diagnosis of a serious Subarachnoid Haemorrhage (SAH) and a complex 7-hour operation, followed by a long, mandated period of rest.
That experience fundamentally changed my perspective on life and safety. My previous, positive experience with the Fire Safety Stick heavily encouraged my decision to build this company. By the third month of recovery, in February 2025, I used my time to begin forming The Handheld Fire Extinguisher Company, driven by the belief that superior fire safety must be accessible and reliable.
